I don't really see how .com or not translates into being genuine or not. Having been a founder for four years now, I have learned that the word "startup" usually scares potential customers. It is actually a good thing to seem

Yeah it is becoming a bit bloated. Honestly I think all they had to do was add import/require and support 64 bit integers and numerics and the language would have been good enough.

Dental insurance is pretty cheap in the US. Medical insurance varies a lot, but for most people it is also pretty cheap because their employer pays the majority of it.

Even though it is from a movie, I think this is better advice: "Do you want a bullet to the head or five bullets to the chest and bleed to death?" [1] If you want to add something about what to improve, I think that is fine too bu

Based on the video, is security the root problem? Sorry, but that is a problem in every programming environment. Security is hard regardless of using C++, JS, Linux, Windows, etc. Therefore it is not terribly relevant to the question: is JS

I am using the "data lake" concept without realizing it. It just seemed like the right thing to do. I am working on a "Google for SEC filings". There are about 15 million company filings and other data spanning 20 years

I recommend reading Great by Choice [1] which talks more about Southwest Airlines and what makes them great. The book is about "10X companies" and what they have in common, but also what they do differently from their competitors.

JSON is an improvement overall even though there are certainly issues. It is easier to read, easier to parse, and usually fewer bytes for the same data. Validation schema can be provided by JSON Schema [1]. The lack of date type and comment

I don't know the answer to your question but JSON update is being worked on by the PG community. I think it is unlikely to make 9.5, but we will see. http://www.postgresql.org/message-id/flat/54E00D1F.9060101@

I think the data format is more the problem. What you describe is a problem, but of the annoying sort. If all the vendors spoke JSON (or some common, generic format) then you would only need to figure out a mapping for each vendor to your u

You can get a similar syntax with format() by nesting format() calls such as: EXECUTE format('SELECT * FROM tab %s', format('WHERE %I IS NOT NULL', 'id'));
