Yes and no. My garbage company will only pick up anything that fits in our issued garbage bins. We can make an appointment for larger items, like an old couch, picked up for an extra fee. But in that case there isn't much difference ex

Do you have direct links to peer-reviewed sources, not search results for videos? Also I am always skeptical of websites where all the content is produced by one doctor and phrases like "From the physician behind the trusted website Nu

What is the "standard american diet"? Are you talking junk food which is certainly a bad diet? Or are you talking about the food plate/pyramid which is definitely a good diet?

When it comes to NLP, Java is one of the best languages because of the library support (e.g. Lucene, Tika, Stanford CoreNLP). You don't have to like Java, but it is fine to use and there are plenty of potential hires.

They seem pretty comparable to me? Cross-region is $0.02, inner-zone is free, and cross-zone is free or $0.01. https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/pricing/on-demand/

They have fixed most of the stability issues in 5.x. I suspect some of the problems people have had with AWS ES is actually using a pre-5.x version.

This appears to be somewhat out of date. If you use version 5.x then pending_tasks is available. http://docs.aws.amazon.com/elasticsearch-service/latest/deve...

You can have a 1000 cameras and it still doesn't matter if you don't have a good computer to process the data. That is where machine learning, etc comes in. Machine learning is really starting to come into its own in last few year

The human visual cortex is still far more advanced than a computer's. Maybe that will change some day, but asking about non-camera sensing equipment is a reasonable question until it does.

I think the advice in this thread is generally good. The only thing I would add is to at least ask for half cash upfront and half stock vested. That way even if you end up quitting, you still get rich.

ES is very good at storing and querying non-text data including geo data although there are exceptions such as numeric. Both PG and ES have their strengths and weaknesses. ES is great at search. PG is great at joins and constraints. Everyth

Depends on your needs, but ES is a superior search engine in just about every way. PG may be good enough for your needs though. In my general view, if you want a more powerful and easy-to-use alternative to LIKE then PG search is great. If

React is for complex/dynamic UIs. By using canvas, you kind of admitted that the old-school way isn't good enough for that case. Having said that, if canvas works and is better than React for your case, then great! Use whatever wo
