MySQL has wider adoption historically so of course you will see more large site/apps using it because you have to be around awhile to get so large. I expect that to change because PG has improved replication and performance over the la

They are working to fix that. It didn't make it into PG10 but the developers are aiming for PG11.

They are working hard to get logical replication in for PG 10 (next major release), but there are still a lot of open items: https://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/PostgreSQL_10_Open_Items I don't know if logical replic

Google beat the other search engines in 1998 because of PageRank and a clean UI. Yes their monetization platform has allowed them to improve their product and dominate the market, but that isn't how they became the search leader initia

I am the founder of Datalanche, a search engine for SEC filings [1]. We have spent a lot of time text processing filings and I would be happy to discuss all the tools and gotchas. Unfortunately it is a longer conversation than what makes se

Yes, I concur! I am definitely trying this out. I have a couple use cases where I think lambda functions would be useful but I don't currently have the time to figure out how to write and execute them.

The Wii wasn't successful because it had cool motion detection tech. It was successful because Wii Sports was such a fun game which used the tech. Oculus needs a killer game/app that makes the average person want to buy it.
