I bought a game on GOG recently. It funnelled me hard into getting their terrible launcher and now requires me to start the launcher to play the game, exactly like steam. I'm sure there is some way of avoiding this but it wasn't o

The article mentions Scotland as an example of a 100% renewable country, when only around 50% of our output is generated this way. There is a great deal of misinformation about this online, partly due to nationalist sentiment and partly due

The languages breakdown is interesting. It seems GitHub refuses to admit defeat and categorises the .m files into various other languages which use the extension (M, MATLAB, Objective-C, Mathematica and Mercury). I wonder if they use some s

The regex thing doesn't make any sense as the asterisk isn't even a wildcard. I think the only system he's likely to have used at that time which used the asterisk as a wildcard is CP/M. It was definitely less ubiquitous

I have seen a wide variety of 'massaged' GPT-3 output online. Some is obviously fake. Some is just a bit too... clean. I suspect the author has omitted a lot of attempts and/or done some editing.

It'd be neat if there was a more attainable standard for certification of tiny autonomous vehicles which are unlikely to cause much damage. Would be great for food delivery.
