Okay, thanks for the precise reply; makes sense for CoreML. Bookmarking your site, will give your app a try when my trusty iPhone 6 breaks and I get a newer one. Take care.

Note: requires iOS 14. I would have liked to give it a try, and pay if it proves superior to Apple's "Music Memos", but I can't, as I run an iPhone 6 / iOS 12 that is still very functional and security-patched by Ap

Not OP, but happy fish user too. For me, yes I still write my scripts in hashbanged (ba)sh scripts; the only fish I write is my config.fish. Fish might be an objectively better language, I don't want to learn it and prefer keeping writ

Thanks and thanks for the link; didn't know about this sub-case. Repeating a point of my original question, in case you have something to say about it: "112 gripes" was published in 1945, thus sites like https://ww

What's the copyright situation of this book? Say I want to restore it, clean it up, and publish a nice epub (using as source the PDF already linked in a comment here). Is it copyright infringement, or is its copyright expired now? &quo

I understand the sentiment, but disagree with it in the case we're talking about, for reasons just as factual and pragmatic as yours. See my reply at https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27056751

To you and sibling comment: oooookay, you're thinking from the position of an obfuscated link sharer/sender, not receiver. You want ClearURLs (or something else) to always resolve to a canonical link, so that you're easily ab

I fail to understand how you'd "unmask" a backend-obfuscated URL (where you just have an ID, and there's no way to get the target URL by just looking at the URL) without opening the URL, defeating the purpose of improvin

This is realistically solvable. 1. First, by Mozilla analysts & developers making a good job at rolling out a potential implementation in a safe progressive way, with the easiest stuff first (`fbclid`, `gclid`, etc), and then going deep

Thanks gorhill! Testing these lists as replacement to ClearURLs now. Hope they make their way into the easy-to-enable default/stock lists. One by-the-way question: how can I "discover" such 3rd-party lists? Is there a place d

How do you quantify "more"? If you mean "by length of blocklist", is the number of rules a good metric to evaluate a filter list? In years of using the built-in "EasyList Cookie" list, I've: 1. Never seen

AFAIK, Firefox does, if you're running the beta/nightly channel (and maybe you need to have set an about:config pref too, I forgot, search about it). I install the beta release of uBlock Origin from its GitHub releases page. EDIT:

Spotify isn't an Electron app. It predates Electron and uses CEF ( https://bitbucket.org/chromiumembedded/cef , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromium_Embedded_Framework ), like Steam.
