Strength training is great! As a runner I much prefer running to lifting, but I think lifting is probably better for me. Btw What's going on with the "st" ligatures on this page??

Last year I crunched my Framework laptop - basically bent the screen and the top shell badly enough that the screen was dead. Luckily I was able to purchase a new top shell and screen for ~$150 and replace it myself! I also popped in anoth

I think like many things in engineering, it depends? I'm sure most applications in life benefit from accepting a little downtime in order to simplify development. But there are certainly scenarios where we can use some "high quali

Isn't that the point of semantic versions though? You can lock it if you need to.

Codeium works well but I really like the copilot chat plugin as well - it generally does a good job of explaining highlighted code, fixing errors, and other code interactions.

I find using cargo watch really helps with my perceived compile times - it runs a check then build on every file save. By the time I open a new terminal to test things out it is ready to go!

My best luck for printf is to use a segger debugger with RTT. It streams data over jtag or swd and is very fast

Zypher is indeed a pain in the neck to learn. I have lots of experience with freertos, setting up tool chains, etc, but just getting a basic project with zephyr is confusing.

The beverage industry spends a huge amount on advertising, and Prime is probably a good example of why!

Lazyvim is so good now I basically just install that and am good to go. I add a few themes and have a handful of custom commands (JK as escape, jkl as save) but other than that it is ready to rock. Mason makes it very easy to install additi

I think the issue is that the underlying dependencies are changing, so even if the feature set never changes it still requires some amount of engineering work to keep it up and running.

This happened a few times at Meta (remember the Portal?!). I think leadership just wants a clean break and doesn't want any support calls, liability, brand relationship to the device, etc etc
