SafeRTOS is a complete rewrite of FreeRTOS, it's more or less API compatible. The cost is all in the certificate!

The thing is... I honestly am not smart enough to trust the cryptography! I guess at a high level I could make some sense of it but there is no way I could fully evaluate any crypto as safe or not.

Unfortunately many colleges advertise and make it seem like the most experience of your life - but of course after working for 10 years most degrees are worth the same!

Hey that's the beautiful thing about being human, in my opinion :) we all prefer different things and that is OK! Otherwise, we wouldn't need menus at any restaurant since everyone would just get the same "food". Fwiw I

Hey now, preventing SEVs doesn't lead to impact. If we all collectively let this become a raging dumpster fire we can all heroically fix it and greatly exceed expectations for the half.

The only thing I consider is making sure my spouse can take care of our kids for at least a little while if I died early. I agree with everyone else saying that if you’re single don’t worry!

One note on "If It Can Be Done with Code, Don’t Do It with Hardware" - there are times where locking things down in hardware is worth it. Things like safety and compliance for example - it is much easier to prove a hardware design
