Good luck finding a Toyota hybrid, it's shocking just how little inventory they have. I absolutely love my plug in hybrid - but they are just so hard to actually purchase right now, and the economics don't make sense when you have

Isn't Arduino a sort of simple C++, not C? Also, for most beginners to embedded development I would recommend starting with ARM devices and a JTAG programmer for anything beyond simple blinky-type programs with Arduino. Being able to

You're basically halfway there, perspective wise. Just leave your attitude at the door and do the interview. For better or worse there really isn't a lot a company can do to fairly evaluate if someone can code other than actually

Oxide is a bit of a darling child on HN - I think a lot of people (myself included) find it interesting that they are trying to re-engineer something somewhat commoditized and boring (servers) into something cool

I have a somewhat remote setup - I use a server which sits in my basement. It is helpful since running some things is just easier on a x86 Linux machine vs a M2 MacBook! Vs code works great but I would really prefer to find a way to get neo

I'm not sure about Microsoft specifically, but at other companies I've worked at (including the federal government) a level number is somewhat standardized across all roles, not just engineering. So that means an entry level engin

I am a big advocate for job hopping, but in your case I think you need to stay on at one company for at least a few years and develop skills, and see a project through long term. You can always try starting something up, but it is honestly
