It seems there's a range of opinions on this - no surprise. I find myself frequently , though not exclusively, using my phone (current, iPhone 6+) or tablet for docs while I use my laptop for coding. I know others who do this too. It&

I agree with other posters that the term is problematic, but most popular drone platforms do in fact have automated flight modes - everything from just stabilized fly-by-wire, to fully automated, GPS-plotted flight, to Return-to-Home when i

Labor tends to be one of business' largest costs as well, so labor-related legal being the largest category of legal costs is (if true) not unreasonable.

The parent specifically referred to distilling (making spirits) at home, which is in fact illegal in the US without a license. Laws vary in other countries, though this seems pretty common (with the exception of NZ, apparently). http:/

But the article isn't just talking about the NSA and National Security Letters - this is about law enforcement . If Apple and Google claim to be technically unable to comply with LE requests, it won't take long to see whether tha

The San Diego Unified School District, like most large school districts, universities, even transit systems, in the US has its own police force - this is going to a police department... they have 54 officers, so its larger than many smal

As others pointed out, AMEX has supported this for a while - I get texted almost instantly with any transactions on my card. I believe their mobile app also supports notifications, but I prefer SMS for this. I only wish my bank (Wells Fargo

There has to be room in any rating system for the lowest rating, for those who deliver the worst possible service - obviously. The problem I see is that the perception of what warrants a given rating varies pretty widely, and most sites do

There is quite a bit of expectation of due process in general; the exceptions are notable because, well, they are exceptions. I'll grant the case of Guantanamo prisoners as heinous violations of the rule of law, but I consider it a hug

Is Australia interested in prosecuting him? I doubt that. Treason is a crime against one's own country; the US cannot try him for treason, nor can Sweden. Let's not exaggerate here.

Also, one other note - I was talking about riding experience, not absolute age - something the CDC doesn't track, but other large studies I've seen do. There's a strong correlation between experience - whether gauged by years

"Your hypotetical driver that owns a motorcycle for 30 years is more likely to die over 25 than under it." That's a very weird statistic. Sure, since those riders spend most of their 30 years riding time over 25yo. From your

If you own a motorcycle for 30 years, your chances are not the same every year - your chances of dying on a bike are higher when you're younger and when you have less years on a bike. So every year I ride, my chance of dying that year

As others pointed out, this was a different era - more the Yahoo era than Google's, when organizing the Web still seemed (to some) an attainable goal. I worked for the guy behind this at the time, though not on this project, and it see

They had the S3 bucket originally set to allow listing - I grabbed it all before I reported it to an engineer there. Not going to post a torrent though - mostly cuz you all can figure it out anyhow. The images are all of the form: NNNNNN01.

Hobbyists in Germany have already multicopters which are GPS pre-programmed so you don't need any pilots to control them during the mission. Hobbyists everywhere can have this - Arducopter (DIYDrones.com) and other projects have had this
