I think this document reverberates a feel that people uses what’s trending without considering its tradeoffs. This article is more on point about this subject: https://www.gregnavis.com/articles/the-architecture-no-one-

I use vim, so esc is one of the most important keys. But I use esc in most apps very frequently. I don’t use Caps Lock at all.

A dictator that can’t stand to others questioning your decisions is a weak dictator. Python is mature enough to have the current governance model, but his exit could have been less noisy.

I don't like the fact that I can't run an extension that wasn't signed by Mozilla. This behaviour lacks freedom.

Caps Lock is the original placement of the Esc key. It's much more useful having Esc on your home row.

I’m receiving emails (a lot of duplicates) from comments in PR, but they won’t show up in the browser. I guess people are trying to submit multiple times, the email is sent but comment isn’t posted.

I have perfomance issues on heavy JS websites. Facebook is almost unusable. But I have a bunch of extensions. If I try using a new profile (no extensions, default preferences, etc) it's nice and smooth.

I have performance issues with heavy sites because I use many extensions. Sometimes, I disable all extensions and it stills sluggish on Facebook for example, but the issue goes away when I use a new profile. Maybe you can try it.

It's the same behaviour of ordinary users, in general. A developer who uses your library is, basically, a user. They see your work as an obligation, not as a gift you are giving to everyone.
