yeah I think that is the real case, especially given that WM6 wasn't locked down, I went to one of the early previews of WP7 a while back and there was a lot of angry WM6 enterprise developers about this issue, and all the MS representative

I realize the title isn't the same as the article, but I hate the title of this article, I'm fairly sure that some random coders didn't force Microsoft to make a major change to their new platform.

Poorly written article, but the main point is that some of the comments made over the last few days were a bit rough, and misinformed. We had a government with a huge majority plan to install a mandatory internet filter and everyone met it

There's something about that picture that makes me really not want to donate. I understand it's working on others and its probably silly of me but something just puts me off.

I've long thought that Google Maps API was great not just for the maps, but for other uses. I did something a bit similar a few years ago for a university project: http://qut.rodh.org I've used the maps API but rejected the whole maps/sa

Yeah I realize their is net benefits there. Out of interest, I wonder how much money Google actually makes from mobile Safari usage? Ie, if you took away Google search + Admob integration into the iPhone, how much benefit would they still h

So why make Android at all? If Apple removes Google search from the iPhone and disallows AdMob then how are they going to make money from the iPhone? Google Voice isn't a good example of what I'm talking about (so, I guess that makes this o

I think its yet another killer Android application that is now available on iPhone. While I can see their logic in this instance I still don't understand why Google insists on porting all of their good Android applications across, removing

Tablet PCs have been around for ages, removing the keyboard and slapping IOS on a thin, well made one may be finally doing it right but I'd hardly call it 'magical'.

what do you mean? People said they weren't communicating enough, so now they are writing blog posts like this regularly to keep us updated. Nothing wrong with that at all. The only thing to be critical of is they are poor at giving time fra

With all the browser prefixes (moz, webkit, o etc) do they eventually get changed to the proper thing when the spec is finalized? It's sad that, as mentioned in the presentation, CSS3 should reduce markup. but to do something like -moz-tran

It frustrates me when people release devices like this. It's not a good e-reader because it hurts your eyes if you read on it for too long, and it's a half-baked tablet. Whats the point? You can't compete with the iPad with equipment like t

I disagree, if I wanted to read e-books on an LCD why wouldn't I just use my laptop or computer monitor? The answer for me is because they aren't enjoyable to read on, too much eye strain. E-ink solves this.

I've got one of these at home, my main PC has 5 monitors (throwouts from work, so most were free), 2 of which sit on top of the tower. I simply put a couple of shoeboxes under my keyboard/mousepad and use the top 2 monitors when I want to u

the question is how much is too much? I don't try to drink 7 litres, I just become thirsty and drink throughout the day. All research I've done seems to point to the only issue being if I don't get enough electrolytes, and my food intake (
