- arn 16y agoI see. I guess your original post made it sound like it was purposeful. If you aren't doing it intentionally, then it could raise a question of an underlying medial disorder. 7L is a lot of fluid. Well above normal. If you aren't purposefully drinking that much fluid, you may be urinating in excess which results in your excess thirst. You could have a mild form of Diabetes Insipidus, for example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diabetes_insipidus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diabetes_insipidus A relatively rare disorder. Uncontrolled regular diabetes can also cause excess urination/thirst. Anyhow, it may be something to bring up with your primary care physician. (I'm a former nephrologist)
