It's nice to propose Bitcoin as an alternative, but there's no "they didn't make it so you get your money back" system like pledges, is there? Also, I don't see how they qualify for PayPal donation status as a

I'm a bit shocked that this works even on Debian. I don't understand how it is possible without Debian violating the patents.

Why? Firefox has had WebRTC support for a while. Edit: Ok I see below you want Firefox to give you access to the users microphone without asking permission.

I'm guessing the problem is that it's encoded in H264, which isn't available in Chromium due to patents.

HTML5 doesn't support live streaming That's a very bad way of stating it. It's perfectly possible, and "supported" even though there is no "use this thing" solution for it. The problem is that you can&#x

Web Audio has been supported as of Firefox 25 or something: http://caniuse.com/audio-api It never had a proprietary API, their proposal for WebAudio just lost out to the Chrome proposal and the latter was standardized.

You need a Xeon v3 for the ECC support, basically. Also obviously getting ECC ram for stability and getting a K series CPU for overclocking is just an incompatible mindset.

Scoring is trivial - if the game is actually finished. No human wants to play go games to the finish so essentially all human games are scored by agreement. But a Monte Carlo program just simulates the game vs itself. See the addenum to my

I guess the remark comes from the "perhaps infinite" proof game. I don't know why they put "perhaps infinite" there as most Go rulesets have rules against repeating board positions.

Not sure what you mean? That's exactly how go programs work today. They don't need to play out the games with an optimal strategy. Just an unbiased, sufficiently random one.

I would also note that Monte Carlo is by definition a heuristic method - it is statistical and not guaranteed to be optimal. So is the endpoint evaluation in chess programs. This isn't a difference between Go and the other games. (In
