Same. I opened the purchase page multiple times already, but I always close it because I realise that I have no use for it. Everything cool that you could potentially do with it is illegal.

One of the posters posted a video of the problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6dazJk9AtU It seems like the ghost touch issue, and not actual hacking.

Why "be careful"? Yes, he could have made more money, but he would also be risking losing all of it. The purpose of diversification is not to make you more money, it's to reduce your risk of losing everything. It worked as in

Why do you think that being spread out is an issue? Niche forums like HN were exactly how the internet worked before mass social media arrived and ruined everything. Going back to this old format is exactly what we should be doing in my opi

If you have Guitar Pro, you can download the gp files from Songsterr and open them directly in GP. I like this because I can then have the same features (apart from the Youtube bit) with all of GP's added goodies.

There is a balance to this. If you always only listen to others and never speak about yourself, you fail to build connections with them (because they know nothing about you). I had the opposite problem, I made every conversation about them

The fact that everything needs to have a "purpose" (not just with tech, but with life in general) is something I continuously struggle with. I know I'm not supposed to care about it but I have a really hard time applying it i

I work at FAANG and have no degree. Checking for degrees used to be a thing but I don't think anyone does that anymore. I had the same feeling as you (regretting not doing traditional CS). I ended up studying it on my own and really re

I think it's really sad that despite all of the evidence that meditation is good for you, people still treat it as some kind of pseudo-science hippie non-sense. It makes sense why people would think that since this started as a religio

I couldn't find any official statement from the Swedish police about this case. The "proof" is once again that an "anonymous investigative police officer" said it and they assumed it to be true. I imagine that there

Seriously? According to the article, their only "proof" is that four criminals said "oh yeah I do this trust me bro". This qualifies as "investigative journalism" today?

I never worked at Twitter but I can relate to a lot of what was mentioned about the culture, especially the "you have to be a politician" bit. Seems like all large tech companies are the same after all.

I don't know how he can be this stupid to try such a thing. Many companies tried to replicate WeChat in the west, and they all failed because nobody wants to have some gigantic clusterfuck of an app on their phone. It works in China on

Not everyone has fingerprints. I don't remember exactly how it happened but my mother-in-law has terrible fingerprints, anything involving biometrics is a massive pain in the ass for her.

You're assuming that just because it doesn't work for you, it doesn't work for anybody, and that's obviously not true. Writing is exercise for the brain, it's a fact that this is a good thing for you. You just might

Xcode uses `mdfind` to provide symbols in crash reports and for Instruments, and is the reason why it seems to have a life of its own and work only when it wants to. Spotlight indexing is extremely flaky for reasons I'm not aware of.

This sounds exactly what a 13 year old would say about life being over at 20. Or a 22 saying life is over a 40. Or a 40 saying life is over at 50. Or a 50 saying life is over at 60. See a pattern?
