Everyone complains about the state of SWE interviews yet nobody seems to be able to come up with a legit better alternative. Even the author recognises this in the article. This format is popular because it's the best time/effort

Maybe it's because I'm really lazy, but the wallet vs watch thing makes a huge difference for me. I hate having to pick up my phone or wallet from my pockets, being able to pay from my Apple Watch is such a game changer that it be

I always found this interesting because this phenomenon exists all over the internet (there's even a dedicated subreddit for it: /r/usdefaultism). If you don't make it extremely clear where you're from, for some rea

As someone who has been primarily a PC gamer since I was a kid and never enjoyed consoles that much, the Steam Deck is mind blowing. It took me a long time to buy it because I usually play games that generally don't fit the handheld st

I have a pet theory that the reviewers have some quota of rejection that they must meet, so they're encouraged to reject apps for bullshit reasons. About 20% of the updates to my app get rejected for no reason other than that the revie

I would have no problem with that if you paid a sum and got the full game. However the situation we have today is that you pay $60 for what is essentially 10% of the actual game and is constantly milked for the rest of it. The scenario you&

I see, that's the difference then. In Sweden the fixed ones penalize you for paying extra.

This is definitely country-dependant. In Sweden you can pay extra with no penalty if you're on a variable rate, so if you have the means, the best option financially speaking is to go with variable and pay it off as quickly as possible

Weird way to generalize the problem. The difficulty of learning Swedish is not the language itself, but because Swedes default to speaking English with you if they see you struggling. If you want to truly become fluent in Swedish you have t

Deceptive marketing/monetisation, as in using psychological tricks to get people to spend money on things they don't want or need. Basically how every modern app and game works nowadays[0]. [0] - https://www.youtube.com

Apple added official app blocking APIs in iOS 16, so you don't need to use someone's sketchy VPN anymore. Burnout Buddy is an app that uses this. (disclaimer: self-promotion, I made it)

Swift is awful for app size. Structs carry an absurd amount of overhead, some of which is just plain questionable[0]. At one point even Apple's official docs were urging you to not use structs in Swift, though that has since been remov
