Well, teleporting is a tough problem to solve to begin with. One way to solve it is to have enemies distributed uniformly and restrict their movement to subsections. Once the player teleports, only the enemies in the closest subsections wil

Titanfall is a pretty good example of how to design good AI. Same goes for Age of Empires, I would say. XCOM, on the other hand, just increases the HP and count of enemies, which is a bad experience.

Isn't that also due to the reason that consoles, once sold, last for close to 10 years and the game developers have to design their games for sub par hardware. Since graphics sell games more, they spend most of their available computat

To be frank, it is the "old school" graphic that gives it its charm and is the reason why I like it. Same reason for why I like Roller Coaster Tycoon.

It has been known for a while now to not touch their desktop app with even a ten feet pole. The best bet is using the web app.

Exactly. It pains me to see so many developers just going with the flow and not exercising critical thinking to decide what all they need to do before and bringing a dependency.

How is this not reviewed by other developers who might not be as negligent as the one who just copied the code?

I am one of those people. I consider myself as above average but I don't think I have ever had the aptitude to make career as a physicist or something more involved for the matter. I like to learn but, sometimes, the stuff I'm try

This is a solid advice. Thanks! I will try to dedicate a portion of my day to brusing up Data Structures and Algorithms and maybe, eventually, I will get good enough to crack the interview.

Looking forward to what future holds for you! The codebase is still pretty tough for me to understand given I am still a newbie, but I don't plan on stopping till I contribute to it.

Yeah, but they need people good at Data Structures and Algorithms. I think I am above average but nowhere near the quality of people that they hire. Also, I am more interested in designing big systems end-to-end and feel that doing a lot of
