I agree. Too much generic features end up becoming abstract and make it difficult to find what the original purpose was.

Thanks! I knew about this book before but couldn’t go through it a lot because it started to get very tough. So, I decided to read each and every concept from the basics before I jumped into that book again.

I have got an intern at AWS so I hope I get to see some good design and meet intelligent people there.

What if I’m not inclined to just one of these? I like learning things and figuring out why which is why I see myself fitting into every category.

This is something I can do! Thanks, I will try to go to some meetups.

Thanks! Iteratively improving and adding features seems the most natural way how a software matures or ‘becomes complex’. I guess I just have to start building something small and learn how to add features that require learning a new concep

Thanks for the advice and the links! Also, I came across a book called Designing Data Intensive Applications. It was very highly rated on Amazon and on HN as well. Do you think it would help me? It explained a lot of concepts but after read

Couldn't agree more. I have a problem where I can't concentrate on anything if there are people talking around me. I have to put on my headphones and put on some soft music but sometimes even that is not enough. I don't know

I disagree with your ending note. I like React and have been using it professionally for over 2 years, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use something just because it is an industry standard. At my work, for example, the upper management i

Not a reply about resume, but a general thought - Seeing these insanely talented people post their profiles and explain their skills is certainly disheartening to a junior like me.

So, do you buy each song separately digitally or physically? Also, after buying, how do you move it to your setup? For physical copies (CDs or Vinyls), do you rip and convert them to .flac or .mp3? For digital, do you remove the DRM?

I think that greatly depends upon the demographics. Here in India, Apple sucks in customer care. Amazon is ok, not too good. The number of counterfeit products I've received is baffling.
