This is one of the problems I have with modern discourse. We're suppose to trust institutions based on the idea that institutions are inherently trustworthy. Having dealt with a few I honestly think they're marginally more trustwo

The one I hate the most is: "X thing did Y, here's why Z" Where X and Y can range from meaningless to national security but Z always remains an opinion (usually uninformed too). Just search "here's why that's b

I truly think the real "target" of these campaigns is to just cause infighting. China could pay a creator $1 or set up a Facebook page with only 1,000 followers and if any news orgs get a hold of it, it becomes "Chinese-based

What mind-melting levels of incompetency. I would love to suggest pay raises so the Government can hire better individuals... but I worry the problem is so systemic it wouldn't do any good. Everyone dropped the ball... and kept droppi

Well, I'm thinking more specialized. I mean, how often do people come up with the same riff or melody and end up in court? You don't need an AI to either purposely or accidentally skirt copyright.

That's for someone with legal experience and knowledge to answer. I can only offer my opinion and more questions. For example; if you're a punk rock band and hire an artist to create promo material, and they draw a "vulgar M

Well, that's essentially what I'm saying. If you use an AI to "get around" copyright, you should face the consequences. Same if you hired a "consultant" that did the infringing.

I honestly just don't see how all this will work legally, in the future. I don't know anything an LLM (or "AI") can do that a human couldn't, with enough time. If it can get a human in trouble, it should get the op

It is kinda crazy. I thought Northern Virginia prices were insane so I moved. I always heard that Canadian and Australian housing was "crazy" too but only recently learned that it is mind-blowing crazy. More housing will have to

I would hope not. I'm still "young" so every visit to a Dr, I've come out with a solution. In any case, I've gone to therapy and it feels like you're making progress (and perhaps I was) but never fixed the prob

I don't disagree with your concerns. In fact, I think they are overlooked by so many people. However, I don't believe justifying or creating a surveillance state is the solution. We can't save people from themselves, it wil

Live near Kyle. Calling it a city is a bit of a stretch, IMO. But yes, housing being built like crazy. I don't think you'll see anything else like it in the US.

I've noticed this too. Like you, I hate expressing the idea that therapy is "over prescribed", lest someone with real issues put off not going... but man, people over complicate things. Knew someone that went to therapy b&#x

Mostly agree with this. In my heart of hearts I truly believe many problems are best left to be abstractions and not "explored." When you explore your problems, you dwell on them and when you dwell on them, you're often not

I can agree with this. Just a quick anecdote. One of my problems was public speaking. This was in HS so my parents and teachers encouraged therapy. Unfortunately, this now meant dwelling on my fear of public speaking 3 times a week. We

Honestly what can the FBI do if other countries don't care or have the resources to stop it? I would love it just as much as you for this to stop but I don't think the FBI can do much.
