It seems great across an org now. I can quickly answer the question of is anyone using something across 1000 repos.

Seems like this will be much worse for the media companies. It isn't like most people who clicked on news while casually scrolling their feed are suddenly going to start going to all these news sites direct.

4 year degree unfortunately is basically a neutral signal. Maybe if it is top scores from a top tier CS college it might be enough to be a positive signal in itself.

It is also going to be very hard to stand out on them without taking extra time because like it or not for a top company the competition is going to be spending that 2-3x time. At least in a technical interview the problem is time boxed so

Yep and I am going to get more done in 5 days than 4. Maybe this doesn't play out over a large group but I just find it hard to apply those articles about the 4 day work week actually being more productive to my personal experience.

Maybe they need better ad tooling and promotion of it. Probably big improvements to be made just in getting enough ad inventory to show something remotely relevant to a user.

This seems easy, you have limits per client per user.

The whole thing was just to illustrate the point that he thinks the Apollo API access is worth nowhere near $20 million a year in opportunity cost.

Yeah, I'd expect a lot of power users on the 3rd party clients are generating a lot of the content and doing free moderation that produces the product they can get the masses to use via the website/ official app.

I go into the office once a fortnight and the commute takes 2 hours out of my day. If it was 5 mins away I'd maybe have a preference to up that to once a week, maybe a bit more of it wasnt open plan. I think there is certainly benefit

With Bitcoin you have to think in terms of the exchange rate. To the extent that you can buy things in it most of that would be based off a dollar conversion. I doubt you can buy much denominated in Bitcoins at a stable price.

Yeah, if the end result is that the majority of Google searches are answered by a llm trained on their index can they really claim that the whole thing is fair use?

There is a middle ground where they only audit the ads on the big clients. If you are say a top 10 Reddit client by usage it is going to be hard to get away with not showing the ads.

Python seems to suffer from this more than other languages. I guess because it is a popular beginner/ teaching language.

It would be fair to say though that there wouldn't be an order of magnitude more data to train a future version with.

Still have to be good at hiring those people that are good at hiring. And giving them the funding, culture and vision to succeed.

There was a time where people questioned if 33 of them packed in like this would work at all. Pretty impressive that it does and survives multiple engine failures.

Hopefully the data will work that out. Raptor 1 seemed to have quality control issues in that some percentage of engines would fail, hopefully this isn't also the case for Raptor 2 or at least can be worked out.

I think it is a bit premature to assert that the launch pad caused the engine failures.

Is it really just panic though? If their assets marked to market were of greater value than their liabilities there would be no reason for a panic in the first place.

I did 6 months and would recommend. In my case it was much more being burnt out on the job than programming so I kept busy contributing to open source.

Maybe if Facebook was building their own Roblox or similar people might get behind that. It seems to be all in on VR though.

Obviously PayPal works for lots of businesses. Will just say though that any support/ account manager contacts you have in PayPal become useless when a walled off trust and safety team permanently suspend your account.
