I think this is more for the end user. If the eventual goal is to convince people to use this instead of Chrome or Safari it is probably going to be a hard sell if it looks like a hobby project.

It has come up from time to time. From the perspective of LadyBird it is an experiment that ran its course and LadyBird will likely just be c++. From the perspective of serenity os it is still there and mostly compatible if someone is inter

You can see the flashing light from way back. You would also probably hear the train.

Yeah I watched some yc application videos so now YouTube recommends me heaps of them. Most of them being thin gpt wrappers.

I was just hearing about startups doing speech to text/ text to speech to feed into llms. Might be a bad time for them.

At least with stack overflow you can be fairly confident the code at least works correctly in the context it was provided in if it has a lot of votes.

For accepting crypto payments wouldn't I be better off accepting a stable coin? Most companies I saw in the past were nominally accepting crypto but going through a service that would just pay out the USD equivalent. I guess with softw

Yeah that is fair, it depends on the options available to someone.

Yeah it is fair to say it depends on the choices someone has. If I can stick USD into a high interest savings account though it seems like a much safer way to keep value.

I still don't get why I would want to hold a bitcoin for anything other than speculation. If I want some form of currency to actually use there are plenty of less volatile options.

Over time affiliate programs like the Amazon one have become a lot less generous. On the other hand though from running an ecommerce site I'd be happy to work with an affiliate like this that isn't just a coupon website that basic

Even with a junior there is generally a logic to the mistake and a fairly direct path to improving in future. I just don't know if the next token was chosen to be x statistically is going to be able to get to that level.

What if the AI was solely trained on this person's work, then from that churned out a similar replacement that was monetized?

There are some from 2023 that aren't. Day 12 part 2 at least for me had one input that ended up being 95% or more of all permutations and would have taken at least weeks.

LLMs fairly quickly got to consuming a significant portion of all available data. I can't see them improving significantly just by throwing more data at the problem.

Even if the ideas aren't unique they are worded in a unique enough way that the training set wouldn't have anything like how they are presented.

A lot of it will be location based. It has come up before here in the discussion of why there is so much in the app. They have to cater for all the different rules in every jurisdiction.

Dyson Sphere is great for 3d. Or at least 2.5d bordering on 3d. Satisfactory shows the pros/ cons of a full 3d world vs a 2d factorio.

I agree with you for a case where you are taking a feature from start to end. The case where you are spending half an hour unblocking someone who is stuck or brainstorming a better solution for something tends to be beneficial though.

Seems like it would just incentivise every ticket being estimated as something like an 8. Even in an environment where story points essentially mean nothing it already ends up with some people just wanting to put high numbers on everything.

Yep, I prefer a chain place where the staff are mildly disinterested, aren't trying to push conversation and just want to get the job done quickly.
