This doesn't surprise me at all. Even with physical goods sometimes the kind of proof they want us to send we don't have access to or sometimes doesn't exist. It is not enough just to show them some online tracking which show

A company might be worth more down the track, because it has created more value? If it hasn't it is unlikely to be worth more.

I don't think that is an issue. The value in Yelp is largely in the reviews, the rest of how it works has been done plenty of times for plenty of different things. Just like a groupon or stripe, the venue reviews space really needs boo

I don't understand this, you can put decent volume through a forex broker and get conversions at something like .1% Surely it would make sense to do this at cost for customers? Granted your bank will probably want a decent chunk for do

I have noticed very cheap quotes before that will then say plus interchange. Interchange is what the card companies charge the provider and you are probably looking at about .6% average just through those.

At what rate? Most payment solutions we have dealt with can tack on a whole percent off market rate.

Fairly clear cut that the original person should take a bigger share. One thing I would preface that with is that with is that if the cofounder comes in and fundamentally changes the business into something much bigger/ better than it

I think this is a repost. I love the incremental progress that is being seen on this project.

Interesting, Australia gets breaking bad on cable the same time as US. Although there is always going to be a lot of piracy because you are looking at $100+ a month to get cable and the showtime/movies group of channels which show it.

I guess so, from what I read it was starting to turn around again with more projects before the earthquake.

Yeah, I think everyone running an ecommerce site and an affiliate marketing campaign has seen this. I don't think Kogans stats on the new customer percent are really an outlier. I have yet to see a coupon site that I could see actually

You can take that view, often though that will mean the customer will just find a competitor that will work with them.

That would be great, all you need is 1 country somewhere in the world to prove viable and it becomes a much safer political prospect elsewhere. Until a major accident at least like with Fukushima and nuclear.

Australia is the same, here passenger rail between major cities is mostly something old person take as a scenic route. Often it is actually more expensive than flying.

Yes, our high speed rail process is currently on a ridiculous timescale, something like 50 years out. If something isn't slated for major construction works within a single term of government you can pretty much assume it will never ha

Most B2B businesses are little known to end customers. In this case I think more so because they would only deal with a small number of people running and managing shops by name. Something like salesforce for example though has products use

AWS always gives full and detailed postmortems. I wouldn't say it is a trait of big companies specially not to disclose to customers, but it is something I would expect Apple to probably do.

I think to some extent yes. Some of the stuff we sell via Amazons marketplace is the cheapest on the marketplace but by no means the cheapest online. This stuff doesn't come with the same kind of shipping service that Amazon provides e

I don't live in the US and have never made an Amazon return. I was under the impression though that they organised for a courier to picking the package from you, rather than you having to go and send it?

The expansion into same day shipping is happening. In terms if people who want to physically see the product, I don't think that is Amazons game. They are are better off giving up that market segment and the overheads associated with i

I think it has always been this way. iPhone had it easy as they were able to build up an install base before opening to 3rd parties. That was a unique position though that won't really be possible again, at least in phones as we know t

The core areas can have the opposite problem almost. The Adwords API has moved pretty quickly but they are also quick to remove things. Most stuff built in early 2012 would have had to be updated for changed/ removed features by now.

I took the story as Bob leaving because of being uneasy with what the job entailed. My comment was more saying leaving a position he found morally objectionable is the most he can do in this case.

What is Bob meant to do in this case? The program certainly isn't going to be shut down because an employee at a contractor has some objections.
