My experience with EA's customer support has actually been rather good. I pretty stupidly bought Battlefield 3 Premium, thinking it included a copy of the actual game (I already owned it on the 360 and was switching to the PC). When I reali

I'm really excited by Rust because it seems to be one of the most sensible language designs I've seen in a while. Go is nice but has some pretty odd syntax in places. I'm just waiting on Rust to hit 1.0 before I start playing with it more s

I'm assuming Redis to Go is currently hosted on EC2; will that be relocated to the Rackspace Cloud? If so will that affect latency for users on Heroku, for example?

I normally use Puma these days, as I've found it gives me the best performance for the least amount of hassle.

I will admit to accidentally running it in production when I forgot to put a different server in the Gemfile. I was being pretty thick that day.

It's pretty well mapped to Rails and has some of the better documentation as far as JS MVC frameworks go. However there were a few problems I found with it, like the view bindings being somewhat slow if you're doing a lot of rapid updates (

Only 45 minutes? They've improved that since I had to use it (~6 years ago). I think it took me the best part of a week to get my account reset :\

I always like seeing people use beanstalkd. It's a great bit of software which seems to have been largely overshadowed by redis these days, which is a shame.

The biggest problem I had as a kid was finding other people to play against. I moved from a fairly urban area to the countryside and never really found anyone else who enjoyed playing it. I only ever played for fun and was never interested

I put some effort into getting something working in Ember recently, and after the initial learning curve it did get a bit easier. I'm really glad that they've frozen the API and are getting to work on better documentation.

On the concurrency side of Ruby I've been really enjoying Celluloid recently. Still trying to come up with a project to hack on with it.

Rails is the biggest offender in terms of startup speed, which I've noticed much more since I started playing with Padrino. But you're right; there's still a lot that could be done to improve speed.

I'm really just looking for a model system that allows simple updates of objects in its identity map with data from an arbitrary source. Backbone is the closest I've found to supporting this with the least effort. I'd rather like to use Ser

Ah I quite like those two, but I was hoping for some client-side ones as most of my projects are in Ruby :) I should try a project on Node again at some point, it has been quite a while.

Does anyone know of a JS framework which plays nicely with Server Sent Events or WebSockets? I've tried pretty much everything so far, and it's always a colossal hack to implement, as none of them seem to have been built with anything other

Finally a charting library with a decent radar chart implementation. I've had numerous uses for these over the years and the only popular use of them I've seen any time recently was in a few Pokémon games.

I've actually been somewhat hoping Dropbox would venture into email. Their service has been reliable for me for years, and it'd be nice to have a decent Gmail competitor at last.
