JavaScript isn't everyone's cup of tea, and performance isn't always a huge concern :) The more other languages I learn, the more often I come back to Ruby. I'm excited to see it becoming a more portable language, and I

I not only cancelled my Prime subscription last year, but I also bugged the hell out of Amazon customer support until they refunded me for the entire year as well. Word of warning; they classify really inane things as a "use" of y

Ignoring the name (which everyone else has commented on), this looks nice. I like the colour scheme too; it reminds me of custard. The simplicity of the dashboard is pretty refreshing and it looks well documented for a new product.

Awesome. I'm really excited for that, I'll have to try to contribute.

Oh man that makes me happy. I just posted about that this morning. Hopefully I can find a way to contribute!

I have large hands and so I've always had to put battery grips on mine, but as that improves the balance with bigger lenses I never minded :D

I really wish there was an additional implementation in something like Rust (personal preference, but C would be good as it's fairly easy to bind to) for DAT, because what they're doing is rather cool and the experience is tidy.

My dad always shot Nikon (until recently when he picked up a smaller Fuji thing), but I personally have always preferred Canon for two reasons: 1: Variety of lenses. When I was into photography ~10 years ago, you could buy 4 different Canon

Yeah it was only really noticeable when moving between the browser and my terminal (dark theme). I think they cheaped out a bit on the panel used in it, which is a shame as otherwise it's a cracking little laptop.

At the moment I think there are a few bugs with Linux support on the XPS 15 but they shouldn't last long. A friend of mine was having quite a lot of trackpad issues that don't appear to affect the 13" model.

I use a 13" ThinkPad X250 when I'm not at my desk and I've been pretty impressed by it. I picked it up second-hand for <£600 and its performance is solid, and with good battery life (and hinges)! My only gripe is that the

I was quite an early user of Revolut and I do feel like they're gradually ruining their service at the moment. I would actually say that my bank (NatWest) has a better mobile experience than them right now. Revolut seem to spend all th

I just got ahold of an S8 Edge and by god is it full of shite. I won't be buying any Samsung hardware, and I'll definitely recommend my friends/family don't; it might be the least user-friendly device I've ever used

Ah interesting coincidence; I've just started experimenting with building a social network using the Signal protocol. Not made much progress so far, but I think it's a sensible avenue to explore.

I've been learning Rust for a little while, and while I agree that it can be frustrating, it's nowhere near as bad as trying to learn Haskell. I regularly get a friend of mine to explain things to me, because the documentation and

Actually I go to France for traditional music events and festivals in Berry/Auvergne (I play diatonic accordion), I just happen to particularly like going to castles and my partner is an archaeologist :)

Possibly it will make the official PoE board cheaper? The existing one I have, which works rather well actually, cost almost the same as the Pi, which kinda limits its usefulness (when a PSU costs ~£6 max)
