Thanks for doing that! I think there is demand for minimal metrics services for Prometheus for very constrained or expensive environments. I am currently looking into getting container-level metrics into Fargate containers. I think the best

I am not saying a branch is nothing than a ref, I am saying there are only refs in git and this is the powerful part of it because being so arcane and simple makes it so flexible

Anyone knows some projects using mruby as their embedded interpreter? I could think of something like Nginx having a mruby module instead of Lua.

Where can I play this game? It’s probably available online in-browser? Also would love to see what ChatGPT would output if asked to describe a map or give instructions to draw.

My company does not have many formal scheduled meetings. Mostly doing huddle to adhoc chat, discuss problems, screen share and pair program. It works well

I used it for two years next to WebEx and it is the worst of all. Not only UX is the worst (cannot have a normal channel, everything is a thread, you cannot change alignment of messages) also the rate of people complaining their Teams does

Why don’t they use Huddle then?

The worst part of this is that everyone at GitHub is now forced to use Microsoft Teams.

Was thinking the same: Mostly with huge imports of external resources, whatever they will be but surely not accessible in space.

I have a dream that all post like this start with an extensive paragraph one the most simple but fundamental question of “Why?” I know it’s mostly for fun and to tinker around with tech and just having cracked the problem, but mostly there

How do ISPs do a page in front of their service? Do they have a DNS blacklist, resolve to their servers first and then let the users pass when accepting? How is this acceptance working and persisted? And could you not circumvent this by eit

That’s exactly how I use ‘unless’. Simple on condition (no else branch) use cases in one liners, anything more complex, I move to if. Best of both world I’d say!

Ruby's pry. Just dropping `binding.pry` anywhere in the code, run it and then get a full REPL with all the variables and instrospect everything with `ls`. This is why I am still coming back to Ruby and writing everything like it. In mo

Disclaimer: I am an Ops engineer turned product manager. But I don’t like this rift. There are many ops people having a good understanding of product and vice versa. It’s just the stereotype which gets reproduced all the time, including in

That's my point. Why having all the setup (and size!) for doing 110/220V when you just need it for 5V USB. Still a nice option!
