Disclaimer: I am an Ops engineer turned product manager. But I don’t like this rift. There are many ops people having a good understanding of product and vice versa. It’s just the stereotype which gets reproduced all the time, including in this blog post. Sure, if management doesn’t get that there is value (and cost!) in proper ops work and having product management attached to it, then all is turned to “DevOps” anyways
