Doing the same with pry ALL THE TIME. It basically became my standard programming workflow. Especially you can also do `ls` to inspect objects and classes. Is there any other language which can do that? And I don’t mean unergonomic debugger

Trefle looks inactive. The goal of permapeople is not to gather as much plants as possible but focus on plants where humans currently see a use in, be it for food, medicinal or other uses. Most data is curated by real people. We do import f

Either deglaze with water and scrub with a wooden spoon or try hot water and a bamboo brush or add a bit salt and scrub it with a sponge. Generally the more you use it the better it gets.

Since a few years, I do own only iron pans. Teflon for home use as pans was a ridiculous idea: you need to take care of it and it will wear out after some time and needs to be replaced. Iron pans need very little care and get better with ag

Please name a few with the same comfort of having most things built-in. One example: database migrations. In the JS world it is knex all over and it is much less comfortable than ActiveRecord.

Which ones? Never saw another one which comes with the same comfort of batteries included like rails. For example having database migrations built in etc.

Looking forward to see if and how it evolved in rails 7. In 6 it was really bad too and my tests are flaky because of some weird active storage async stuff. Can't find the id of blobs I have no idea

The react code base is written by me, a backend/infra person and it was the first time I used it. It is a mess and the worst is that all the system tests are super flaky because of weird react DOM stuff.

Currently stuck on a fairly large code base on rails 6 with a ton of react and trying to upgrade to the new “non”-JS way with Hotwire. Wish me luck Rails is great when you stick with the defaults and a land of pain as soon as you leave them

I can’t understand your first sentence even after reading it ten times. Maybe it is too long for me. To the second sentence: I don’t know what the benefit is either but in some environments you are not able to use any cloud provider or othe

I don’t get it. Keycloak feels like some clunky 90s enterprise software and I mean it only in a bad way. Had to run it on openshift and it was hell. It’s not really made for containers, clustering is basically impossible, it needs to know

Most fun thing about permaculture is the fact that no one is making money from actually applying it but rather just selling courses, books and other media. It’s funny since the first thing you learn about it, is that you don’t need to spend
