If you are working with text a monitor with high pixel density is important. 4K 27” is good for Windows, 5K 27” is great for Macs. I think companies should provide a monitor of this calibre and a laptop powerful enough to easily drive them

Excited to upgrade to a Mac with Thunderbolt 5 which should allow for 6K at 120Hz with 10 bit color over a single cable. All this with an OLED panel is just about peak display for me.(though miniLED would be fine too)

I think we are seeing a 2 pronged change in the automotive space and I think Apple can contribute to both. 1. Consumer-owned Electric Cars with advanced AI safety and lane-keeping assist (Traditional Automakers) 2. Corporation-owned Fully A

Cruise and Waymo are the clear market leaders in Autonomous Vehicles. Tracking the progress of these companies in the past year alone where they are operating with no safety driver in dense San Francisco is incredibly impressive. The field

I am writing the backend of my side-project with it. Async/Await in Swift is game-changing for safety and productivity. The tooling is only getting better and you can expect greater maturity with the coming of [Swift 6]( https:/&#

Transportation and housing are intrinsically linked with affordability and quality of life. For North American society to improve we need to address these issues.

In Canada extremely unaffordable housing has been the reality since the Pandemic. I think the US is just catching up and when it does there will be more unrest because of how much influence the states have over social media and news in gene

Hard disagree. By this logic we’d still be writing COBOL. Yes, switching tools has an inherent cost associated but, you must calculate what makes sense for your team. Not everything is relative, some tools are simply better than others.

If you look on the Swift GitHub page you will see tremendous effort going into async/await. It will change the game for server side swift later this year.

I’m betting once async/await lands in Swift it’s usefulness as a server-side language will greatly increase. You can check on GitHub the work on a async/await by people like Doug Gregor has begun. Very exciting.

Interesting that this card has 8K capable HDMI 2.1 but not DisplayPort 2.0. Wonder when we start seeing DP 2.0 support in products, VESA said late 2020 in the press release.
