I have a foldable shopping bag which is smaller than my wallet, you don’t need a full backpack. If I think I might want to pop into the shops while out, I’ll chuck it in my pocket. Sure, if you want to do a big family shop then it’s a bit d

Not to be too negative, but this seems quite inaccessible to anyone using a screen reader or other non-visual output device. Unlike with SVGs or images, there seems to be no way to provide an alternative representation? Similar to the inacc

I mean with WordPress hosting - I don't doubt Caddy is used in production by companies elsewhere. :)

Good to know. That said though, my understanding is that the vast majority (let’s say >85%) of sites these days are on managed hosting rather than shared hosting (or even VPSes) with cPanel.

You could consider making them real mDNS domains then, and using mDNS to resolve them to your desired IPs.

I’m not aware of anyone running Caddy at any sort of scale for customers. From what I’ve seen, it tends to be only self-hosted people running it. The overall trend in WP hosting has been away from shared and VPS hosting towards managed ho

On the WordPress side, consider using Batcache to generate appropriate Cache-Control headers. While it’ll also cache into your object cache (memcache/Redis), you can disable or ignore that functionality, and then you get a quite good i

That may be the case, but the communication on the changes is terrible. I only noticed CRA was even deprecated after needing to dive deep into upgrading a dependency, and eventually stumbling over the GH issue comment. Like the original art

Per the blog post announcing it, it's not recommended that you use that hook directly, only in libraries: > useSyncExternalStore is intended to be used by libraries, not application code. https://react.dev/blog/

I agree. Up until Hooks, you could make your own toy React pretty easily if you wanted to - creating a basic, unoptimised version took a few hours. That made the whole system pretty understandable, especially for junior developers - obvious
