Yes, some (many?) brokers already offer similar services (i.e. debit card and checking). I think they typically only allow those to access cash on hand though and won't initiate any sales of any securities.

It depends on how much of your assets are invested in the market. And on how you're handling cost basis. And if you are carrying forward any previous losses. And how long you've held the asset. And... well, you get the idea.

I understand that the author was just using WW1 western front strategy & tactics for illustrative purposes, but I feel that far too many people think that the leadership of the armies involved were simply idiots, stuck in the mud, etc.

There is no correct answer. There is no correct answer. The various ways different languages handle implicit type conversion with division and modulo operations are all both correct and incorrect at the same time. It's really an arb

Um, such actions were very very rare 200+ years ago. If you look at history from the lens of daily life in a given location, you will see that horrible behavior by the people in power would go on for lifetimes. Not only without without pu

In fairness, I got the feeling that the author of the article was writing in the context of western Europe. While Western Europeans have a hard time understanding the large and dangerous wildlife populations that exist in North America, it

I don't know the details, but I'm pretty sure it's tax related. I'll bet companies would love to be able to do that. Because then that company could deduct that capital loss from their income to lower or eliminate th
