That's not too dissimilar from mine. I have cash I need to invest. I'm not looking to change any of my existing investments, so it's more a question of what the right move is there, with the wrinkle that I now live in the EU

Yeah I kinda regretted writing "crash". Your comment lines up with my sentiment, though I don't put a ton of stock (pun somewhat intended) in mine due to "amateur" status. But I guess the "if not US, where?&quo

No idea, personally. My question in the second paragraph was definitely not rhetorical. :)

Yeah, I really don't know what scenario leads to the US economy not dragging down the rest with it. Is there an argument that other economies would recover better than the US, in the long term? But at that point, one could just diversi

I briefly resisted the notion that fd and ripgrep were useful when a friend suggested them. Then I tried them and it was such a night and day performance difference that they're now immediate installs on any new system I use.

Did you have a point or are you just a troll? The whole context was "regulated heroin would be safer", but we've had a whole crisis of overprescribed (but still regulated) opiates that very much disagrees with the notion that

You mention Fox News and people knowing when they're manipulated and I struggle to see how that squares with the current reality of Fox News being the most popular news network and rising populism that very much relies on manipulation.

If we're gonna start factoring how well regulated something is, then sure, as long as there's a problem, something's not "regulated."

Also... isn't the whole opioid addiction crisis basically because people were in fact buying regulated ~heroin?
