If you're using hotels with Mercedes then you're booking an entire different class to the hotels I book and that may explain our difference in experiences :)

And yes downvote me but maybe think about whether spending more money going to first-party sites is actually serving you?

I've heard booking.com forbids them to charge first-party customers less than the booking.com price, and the hotel is beholden to the site for income so they play along. The only people booking directly are basically idiots, so for tho

People say that but it doesn't ring true in my experience. Let's face it, you're just paying more for the same service if you book directly.

If your hotel double books you, they're out of rooms and can't help. If Booking.com double books you, they can pull strings to give you a different room in any hotel on their site (and they do). I don't doubt you had that exp

I respect your experience, but third-party sites are cheaper than the true website and hotels refuse to match it even if you ask them. Even if adjustments are easier (and in my experience Booking.com has been fine), it doesn't offset t

So I bought a 16GB 6-month tourist sim, and somehow run it out, probably by drunkenly making video calls / using YouTube without realising I wasn't connected to wifi. I think there are unlimited or huge (30GB/month) sims avai

I am in Japan and when my mobile net has run out I've had to use public wifi for a day or two and it's not a pretty picture. I find I can barely connect after multiple tries and they drop out frequently, and often have time limits

Admittedly I haven't kept up with the PS5 but the PS4 Pro at least basically let you choose between 4k and 60fps and couldn't do both, and generally you're not going to get 4k120hz on any game, let alone at maximum graphics s

LLMs can also be used to identify spam, not by language, but by the actual intent and "is this email something I want to read". Open question: is there any case where LLMs can be used for malicious purposes, but LLMs can't be

The article says code quality is better but development time and bug fixing time is worse. You chose to simplify that to 'better', I chose to see it as a tradeoff. People are rushing to mypy for type checking, not speed improvemen

I think 1:1 is best for close friends who you have a strong connection with, and groups are better for more casual friends. You can have a group hangout with people who in 1:1 format you'd struggle to converse with. Personally I don&#x
