Reminder that there's also a film/dramatization/documentary of the events from the cuckoo's egg, with Cliff playing himself. "The KGB, the Computer, and Me". It can be found online, and it's worth a watch

Copyright violation on t-shirts seems to be the norm, it's not just Amazon. Basically every t-shirt seller out there will allow user-submitted design that infringe on someone's IP. I'm not complaining, cause I love my Mario&#

Sorry for the tangent, but now I'm curious: can you get a paper cut from toilet paper? It doesn't seem to have the same kind of edges.

Knowing "where you are" is irrelevant. Iraq was invaded under the pretense of having weapons of mass destruction, so the rational thing to do is having them anyway, cause the US can bomb you anytime if you don't. Meanwhile, N

What else are you going to do? Iran has been sanctioned by the US for decades. Can you really sell "we'll be bombing civilians for years"?

Countries stopped doing declarations of war decades ago, cause you know, war is not something _we_ do, it's something bad people do. _We_ do special operations, interventions, liberations, preventive strikes, weapon destructions.

that's why I put "simple" in quotes. Obviously it's not trivial, since they already flew a few spaceships and rockets, but it could be an edge case not considered until now which can still be fixed, rather than a "w

I don't think GP objects to the literalness, as much as to the "I am known for always being right and I acknowledge it", which comes off as.. not humble.

I think you're extrapolating too much. This could be a "simple" production error (think "cracked pipe") which can be fixed with more effective monitoring of the construction, and not a major design flaw. It might be

Are you really advocating for 1984's thoughtpolice? If someone has "bad" ideas and they keep them to themselves by having private social media accounts, it's crazy to think it's a risk to society. Countries already

Seaspiracy (like Cowspiracy by the same author) is pretty full of factual errors on misrepresentations. While the core ideas may be right, it's basically a propaganda piece.
