So the problem is 1) port mapping and 2) backing up data volumes? There are simple solutions to each 1) you simple have a separate docker-compose file for a different environment, ie docker-compose.dev.yml for your dev server. in this file

I’m surprised how it’s only 30% cheaper vs nvidia. How come? This seems to indicate that the nvidia premium isn’t as high as everybody makes it out to be.

that is outdated advice. for one, some people sweat more than others, the salt levels in the sweat is totally different too. this means that if you're really serious about sport or are doing endurance races (ie 2 hours+) you should rea

All of this above. The biggest contributing factor though is that the radio will be off for 99% or more of the time when not actively sending, in order to save energy. This means you also need to wait for that <1% beacon/listening w

The USA has a 5x higher death rate than Sweden [1]. At ~45k deaths per year in the USA, I don’t understand how this isn’t a higher priority on everyone’s mind. Americas roads are terrible, both from a design as a well as from a maintenance

Because that’s how people use llms. You go to ChatGPT to ask a question and get an answer, rather than searching on Google, revising your search because you didn’t know a term, and then look at 3-5 different links to find the answer to what

Always take these articles based on studies with a big pinch of salt. They’re typically funded by one side or the other, and consequently biased. All I can say from personal experience is that I’ve had a Tesla model 3 for 5+ years, and its

Sure the “electricity” is free or maybe even “paid for use” a couple of short times a year. That doesn’t justify the massive capex investment needed to build a hydrogen plant that would be underutilised 95%+ of the time. The economics will

This is a gas industry falsehood that has to stop being spread. Hydrogen efficiency would have to improve ~350% to be competitive with current battery electric stored power. That’s just never going to happen, particularly as battery electri

That rule isn’t being enforced. The rule in question is a domestic German deficit limit that requires governments to only spend more during emergencies or recessions, which ironically Germany has just officially entered.

The A-series chips seem to roughly double their speed every 4-5 years. Guess that's the modern day Moore's law? Obviously has to be taken with a grain of salt as this is only a benchmark...

As long as you have a static IP address, this is trivial and typically very reliable. Throw an ATS battery into the mix and the internet will be super reliant, even when the power goes down. Am doing this at home with a fibre line and it&#x

Rather than releasing a stand alone camera, I’d expect the vision pro headset to act as one too. In other words I’d expect it to be able to take spatial pictures whilst not being worn. Less creepy, and more like taking a picture with your c

I don't think that is true. Last I checked apple M1 max chips have up to 800GB/s throughput, whilst AMDs high end chips taper out at around ~250GB/s or so, closer to what a standard M2 chip does (not max, or pro version). at

This thesis seems very credible, but it misses one downside of his "software 2.0" definition: you need significant amounts of data to train the neural networks. Most problems do not have this amount of data. Not even close. So yes

That may have been the case 5 years ago, but these days it’s the opposite. Look at the Munro live Tesla tear downs on YouTube, particularly the megacastings structure, the battery packs or heat pumps. It’s night and day.

That may help. But I think that Elon headlines just generate great clickbait and that is the primary reason. Everybody loves a story about either a superhero or supervillain who also happens to be the richest person in the world. Any story.
