Cool. Also https://github.com/deepseek-ai/3FS by DeepSeek which came out of High-Flyer a Chinese HFT firm.

Over 500PB of data, wow. Would love to know how and why "statistical models that produce price forecasts for over 50,000 financial instruments worldwide" require that much storage.

Radix Trees are (often?) used for this purpose, for example in Chi: https://github.com/go-chi/chi . Coincidentally FSTs and Radix trees share some similarities.

Lots of comments here remind me of the time GitHub was purchased by Microsoft. It would be the dead of GitHub. While in fact it got better: GitHub Actions (pretty neat CI system) happend under Microsoft. Free private repos happend under Mic

For me Kobo support is the most important feature. But haven't found a substitute. Also no word from Kobo (Rakuten) about this. Very disappointing.

Congrats on putting this out there. There isn't a de facto pandas-like library in Java like you said. But for Kotlin there is: https://github.com/Kotlin/dataframe

It has gotten a lot better IMHO in the latest 2025 release. Ability to enable/disable per project. Ability to favor local models over online models (online as fallback), support for OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc. Beter integration overal

The headline suggest this is something official from the EU (commission) which it is currently not. Also: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43468785

Especially happy with the faster map implementation and also with text/template now supporting range-over-func. Go 1.23 introduced range over function types but the latter didn't work in Go templates until now.

Every CI system has its flaws but GitHub Actions in my opinion is pretty nice especially in terms of productivity; easy to setup, tons of prebuild actions, lots of examples, etc. I've used Tekton, Jenkins, Travis, Hudson, StarTeam, Rat

Kinda funny to call the current 90 day certs "long lived". When Let's Encrypted started out more than 10 years ago most certs from major vendors had a 1 year life span. Let's Encrypt was (one of) the first to use drastic

Lots and lots of Docker images are only linux/amd64 compatible. Without Rosetta 2 I wouldn't be able to do my job, especially in a team with a mix of Mac and Linux workstations and most images being build as amd64/linux only

Most of these sales aren't about acquiring a product but about acquiring a customer base, so it would make perfect sense for Atlassian IMHO.
