Tests inside one _test.go file are run sequentially by default, but Go does run tests in parallel across packages.

I used to run all kinds of (custom) fake in-memory servers in my tests. Nowadays I just run the real thing using Testcontainers ( https://testcontainers.com )

Used the Java version ( https://failsafe.dev/ ) of this library a few times. It's been around for a number of years. Works great! Glad to see a Go version.

Yes many years ago. The only annoyance I have is GMaps not remembering recent places. So you have to type in an address every time. Still outweighs being tracked all the time.

Mongo and Elasticsearch also recommend using XFS. So Talos isn't unique in this. XFS is somewhat more often preferred in data intensive systems.

Over the network (when using azure or gcp storage) there's also https://sqlite.org/cloudsqlite/doc/trunk/www/index.wiki which doesn't require loading everything in memory.
