HDCP is separate from HDMI. You can be spec compliant with HDMI at any version and not support HDCP. That said I would be surprised that a display controller in common use would not support HDCP. 4K or 8K content sure, but what about HDR? E

But would you pay 2x for an industrial panel? These panels might last longer at brighter drive outdoors and in well lit areas but they won’t look anywhere near as good as a consumer OLED for viewing movies and gaming because of both panel a

Runes are not a Unicode concept - that’s a Golangism. Basically a code point. Also in terms of Unicode, graphemes are even more relevant to the programming side than glyphs - unless you’re writing a renderer.

Definition and declaration have specific meanings in C and C++. A typedef is part of a declaration. Declarations can be definitions but a typedef is not a definition in particular. https://en.cppreference.com/w/c/

This isn’t particularly uncommon or without precedent. This is just treating SIZE_MAX as the sentinel value of an otherwise unsigned type. This is what is done for std::dynamic_extent in C++ for instance.

Why do stage musicians use wireless microphones? Is it because they have a hatred strictly for aesthetic reasons? Nobody said you can’t use your damn wired mouse if it makes you happy - but latency is not an actual reason to prefer a wired

Buddy, I posted a link - the actual difference in latency in time to click and movements with wireless mice with dedicated receivers. Some do better than wired models - in any event the latency of the RF link is on the order or hundreds of

For what it’s worth mice like the Mxmaster have a usb-c charging port in the sensible location and can be used while being charged. They also give you pretty fair warning before they die.

There’s essentially no lag in a dedicated wireless receiver mouse - the additional latency is dwarfed by the baseline latency of the hardware and software. https://www.rtings.com/mouse/tests/control/latency

What’s the incentive? None. There is no internal process. You’ve been working for a company that has had for its entire history a cash cow that essentially has no customer facing contact for its survival - you wouldn’t think to go there. Ke

But I think they’re talking about if you’re doing content defined chunking of a pack or archive file - inserting data should only affect insertion chunks + 1. And since it’s content defined - those chunks are necessarily not constant size.
