No. They seem to have been doing a few puff PR pieces recently. Can’t imagine anyone under 30 knows or cares about them. I guess their main claim to fame was being the first “hacker” group to do PR moderately well and transition into decent

Yep. We haven't hit a real bear market in quite a while -- even 2008 was mostly a road bump if you were in tech. We'll see what shakes out when everyone isn't getting trivial 20-30% gains in the market every year. There are g

The O&O team needs to post more pictures of Frida. Great tool, first download on every Windows install for years.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of drug requires testing like this? Suboxone or something similar? Seems like an invasion of privacy unless is somehow related to rehabilitation I suppose.

Right, but at least the boomers voting for both parties (and the corresponding elected boomers allowing this) will get to continue buying new RVs each year with pensions and inflated retirement accounts that only exist due to allowed tech c

Incredibly talented. I always felt like WKUK was just a few years too early -- had they launched in the YouTube era I bet they would have been 100x bigger. Rest in peace.

I can’t wait until I can move into a “retired millionaire’s” house at below market rent when I run into tough times. What an inspiring article.

Thank you. Can someone please break security questions next so I don’t have to store four passwords instead of one to login to my accounts? Please kill opt-out-less 2FA while you’re at it. (Thanks Amazon, been enjoying that change!)

Search almost any disease + curcumin on pubmed and you’ll find plenty of studies claiming impact or showing murine/in vitro results. There have yet to be any high quality in vivo human studies demonstrating anything of value. Looking f

It’d be nice if there existed any forum that collected these anecdotes. Glassdoor is heavily censored, teamblind requires tying your identity to the account, etc. Lots of toxic workplaces exist and remain unknown outside of rare Twitter thr

How many families are you going to feed with that extra million you saved now that the numerous farms you couldn’t see from the highway overpass can no longer ship food? “I have always lived in very liberal, expensive, coastal cities” — ple

The easy fix to this is to not exempt “IT Professionals” from overtime in a bullshit rider on a completely unrelated law. Pay overtime, make it expensive to drive employees over 40 hours, and the problem disappears overnight.

Do you have any links on what Tokyo style housing is actually like? I’ve heard that you can relatively easily afford single family housing there if you’re willing to put up with a long commute to work. Is that not correct?

Wait, is there really a conspiracy out there that the reason the government performs so poorly is because people from “the opposite team” are actively joining and sabotaging it from within? Absolutely fascinating if so.

Why should you have to pay a national service to NOT deliver you junk mail? If your government isn’t serving you, why would you double down and assume additional funding will address the issue?

Useful union voting bloc seems to be the major reason. When they come out with PR pieces the biggest “reason” is veterans and the elderly not being able to get drugs delivered via mail, which seems like a rather tiny, solvable problem that
