I finally upgraded to the latest paperwhite, and the orange lighting and consistency of the lighting is so good, it's a worthwhile upgrade. Pick one up during the next sale.

The interesting part about this is that you'll also likely see a NP or physician's assistant, who, at best, "google" (uptodate) your symptoms if the case isn't obvious. Sometimes doctors will do the intake appointme

The government wouldn’t prevent you from going to college, it just wouldn’t voluntarily pay for you to go if you didn’t test well. You could pay your own way, seek external scholarships, etc. As of now we effectively underwrite anyone who w

Interesting, neoliberals seem to now support the authoritarian state, the various intelligence agencies, NATO going to war with Russia, censorship, etc. Has been a strange shift.

You’re in for a bumpy ride. Normally the advice is to buy bonds if you’re risk averse, but the government got those into a nice bubble as well with QE.

I had a eero 5 before upgrading to the 6 -- found the traffic shaping pretty useless on both to be honest. "CAKE" or not, didn't do much for me on two connection types that absolutely need shaping -- local cable and local DSL

I switched my family from AmpliFi to Eero —- drastically more reliable. Few firmware update hiccups but they’ve been great so far. Better speeds. Only thing missing is good QoS —- the “SQM” they advertise doesn’t work nearly as well as true
