Not really, you can tweak a lot with the right CLI commands, and the desktop experience is not constantly being messed with or your settings reverted, as is the case with Windows and its forced updates.

I've been following the HTML export thread, good to see some progress. I've experimented with 'transpiling' to RST with Pandoc for purposes of digital documentation - but it's not quite there. Would love to see a fl

If you want your own Web Components, you're going to build an entire framework around the creation and management of them because making proper 'web components' for your project is in effect a whole other project

Pretty cool, but the sudden ramp up in speed makes it impossible around 7000 points - speed should probably increase more linearly

That's not a bad result, although for £320 for 4x Pi5s you could probably find a used 12GB 3080 and probably more than 10x token speed

I don't like Ubuntu either, and also ended up on Fedora. I don't know anyone who ever stuck with their first Linux distro and still think Ubuntu first is a sensible first distro recommendation for a web developer who hasn't u

For a first distro, Ubuntu is probably a good idea. Fedora later maybe. Arch or LinuxFromScratch is a good learning experience too.

Had a go at booting this in a VM. The ISOs apparently have some issues, meaning you can't just boot in a VM and have a poke around...

Definitely going to take this for a spin. BSD has been appealing to me for a long time, but the driver situation is wanting. In theory, a more integrated BSD like experience but with Linux kernel/drivers? Interesting!

A lot of this will seem trivial if you haven't used Github for an organization's management of issues. This also lets you start off with a markdown checklist, and convert items to sub-issues.

RIP DivestOS, truly a top-tier project. Not just the best alternative to GrapheneOS for non-pixel devices, but also a suite of other apps such as Mull, an Android Firefox fork. This really was a passion project and SkewedZeppelin deserves m

Can it play youtube videos without saturating the resources yet? This was a major problem with Pi 4/400, I had to resort to quite an extreme overclock and some hacky custom browser builds to improve this. Bought it for a family member
