I thought Mozilla started a similar project? Why not focus on that instead? Why not cooperate?

What about the like button on web sites and the FB pixel that is invisible to the user? Again, you seriously think Joe average is aware of that?

You seriously think grandma and Joe the plumber are aware of Facebook's constant data collection? Let's have empathy for people outside the tech bubble and realize that it's our duty as technical people to educate people arou

I'm actually surprised Google did not do this earlier. If they can deliver a solid UX and eliminate the risk of receiving counterfeit products (looking at you, Amazon) then this could be great.

Google gets a small cut of each sales, plus they don't have to maintain warehouses, ship stuff, etc... Meanwhile, Amazon's "search engine" is terrible, product listing is, in my opinion, a mess, plus there's a growi

I guess FB has the advantage of being nearly ubiquitous in some countries. With the amount of information they collect on their users, I bet they won't have trouble monetizing their platforms in time. Some companies are already using M

A lot of people may be less and less interested in Facebook "the social network", but a lot of them are still using Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram, so FB is still huge and dominant in the social sphere.

Is it possible that the multiple bugs in iOS 11 could be attributed (in part) to the frustration felt by Apple's engineers about the open office floor plan in the new campus?

That's the thing I don't like about Apple products. I swapped the HDD for a SSD in my father's Mac Mini and had to order a kit with all the right special screwdrivers and special tools just for that.

In my opinion, the problem with these assistants is that interacting with them using voice give you the impression that they're intelligent, but it's just a trick. When it works, it can be useful for certain tasks, but when it doe

If we want to protect the Earth, then we need to address the elephant in the room which is the insane number of humans on the planet and the resources needed to keep them alive. It's crucial that we help third world countries rise from

This bill is a step in the right direction. The Earth has a limited amount of resources, so we should really start thinking about better resources management because otherwise, we're going to have serious problem in the future.

Yeah. For example, if you don't own a cat, you could just talk about cats and brands of cat food in front of your phone for a while. If you end up with a bunch of ads for cat products, then that would be seriously weird.
