Yes, Russia had pushed Germany the whole way back into Berlin by 1945. Russia defeated Germany in Europe in WW2 the other allied powers basically showed up when it was all over.

Absolutely incorrect. There are lots of rare things. Rarity by itself is nothing. Something good being rare is something. It might not be the best thing in the world, and something perfectly commonplace might be "better" than it.

I'm not sure I understand your point. Is there something wrong with the phrasing? How would you phrase it?

I actually enjoy TikTok. I watch a lot of dog videos and other fun and lighthearted content. It’s great. I think it’s more what you make it than any other social media platform. I watch videos and I get other videos that I’ll like. If I was

Everyone is giving you random advice here, but I think the real think you should do is talk to a professional. You've got the cash so just make an appointment with a Therapist and chat to them about stuff. Therapy is great, It'll

what seems to be missed here maybe for some vague ideas of it being less "natural" is that every hedgerow that I've ever seen that is being used as a livestock barrier has a hefty dose of barbed wire preventing the livestock

Sure. But most visitors want to go to the city center. They probably aren’t that interested in visiting your house.

Airports are often an hour outside the city center and approx 30 euro (by cab) to get to where you need to go.

I’d argue that a local exploitative ruler is far preferable to a remote exploitative ruler. With the local ruler the wealth stays in the region. The plight of the inhabitants is more apparent to the ruler. With remote exploitation the wealt

Right, we are in agreement. I think there should be rail in urban areas, but I was specifically refuting the idea that there was no room for rail.

I think relatively speaking the US is not densely inhabited. So sure in densely packed places there is not much space (by definition) but then almost nowhere in the US is densely packed. E.g. between LA and SF it’s 99% farmland, between LA

I think this is the motivation for https://darklang.com/ , trying to solve a lot of the complexity of infra. That said it’s a huge undertaking.

Maybe also working for the US or the UK? If everyone in the UN is in agreement what is the problem? If In the future you don’t agree with other human rights then don’t approve them but don’t claim that you’d love to vote for this resolution

I feel like this article exposes a huge fallacy in how people think about politics in the US. Politics isn't a horse race. It's not about winning. It's about making the country a better place by enacting laws and making sure

Actually they do, just in combination with other ways of granting citizenship. To pick Italy off your list, if a child is born in Italy and it’s parents are unknown or unable to transfer their citizenship(stateless, unknown citizenship etc)

In fairness this is a feature of the American political system, the business of making laws does not have to be done this way. It’s just a sign of how dysfunctional the system is.

This. Even the website bitterwind just looks like an attack site against China. It seems to just have “articles” that just say negative things about China. This is just seems to be another play in an influence campaign.

So for the two sibling comments. This article is clearly about nightclubs and events. "Plans to introduce vaccine passports for access into nightclubs and large events in England will not go ahead, the health secretary has said."

Irony is you have to show your papers (id showing proof of age) to get into nightclubs anyway.

So long as homes are considered an asset class governments are compelled to protect their value and help increase that value. This is a small step to decoupling property from investing but I think a great start.

I think that idea is fundamentally wrong. Essentially that means that if there is a governmental conflict might is right. So wait for any dispute (the example I gave of trump disputing election results suffices) and then invade. That doesn’

So, I'm curious. Do you think a nation ceases to be sovereign when it's in civil war or if there is some conflict over the government. E.g. in the US, when Trump was claiming he was elected President, did the US become less sovere

The pretext for invading was that the Taliban were in power and were hiding Osama Bin Laden. Let's get our stories straight. They can't be hiding Osama Bin Laden if they aren't in control of the country.
