From the discussion here, it appears that no one is monitoring broadly. The big apps (fb, insta) potentially are being checked as they have bug bounties and warrant research time. But for less popular apps, or pirated apps, it sounds like n

Yeah I'm curious what exactly makes GIMP different. Photoshop and Pixelmator are bot pretty similar to use on a Mac. Is it just the layout of buttons? Or is there some "first principles" difference in the design of GIMP vs Ph

As much as I like TrackerZapper or ClearURLs for pasting links, it sets a precedent of tools that modify clipboards, which is bad for crypto addresses.

For those more familiar with GIMP, can you share what you love about it? I'm assuming most people think of it as a "open-source-but-less-good photoshop". Would like to hear from fans. edit: reading this thread https:/&#

I don't see it as a perennial problem. It's a new problem in the digital realm, given that computers are still generally new in the big scheme of things. The long term optimal solution seems to be an open source, decentralized pla

This is helpful. Regarding your question of "definition of censorship-resistant", where can I go to learn more? I can see how this is important, but am not sure where I'm at on it. Do I support videos of murders on such a pla

Agreed - the lesson here is platforms like YouTube have a lot more control than most assume. An easy to use, censorship resistant, video host seems needed.

But I'm lazyyyyyyyy come on ;) How much does it cost to host 100 videos that get 1,000 views total per month. $1/month? While I imagine I could set this up, I want easy to use, censorship resistant video hosting for others.

How is Rumble more censorship resistant? "Like Substack" is he kidding? As soon as Substack gets big enough they will no doubt prune creators just like YouTube does.

That's helpful context. I'm happy to support an open platform that helps creators monetize. For me however, I just need a place to serve videos from.

Curious to hear more about this. Is censorship "removal" or simply not getting votes? I've seen this concept generally addressed here before as "we don't censor, people just vote this way"
