Yes. I replaced my Nexus6 with a OnePlus3 ($400) because paying the Pixel's price ($950) would have made me feel like a sucker. The screen is excellent, and there is a wide variety of ROMs to choose from.

I don't mind homework, but companies need to start specifying their salary range up front. I've been having a lot of time wasted lately by getting through Tech Interview #1 or Homework #1, only to find out their max salary is laug

Haha! This is exactly the argument I use when trying to negotiate! I say "you won't be able to find anyone for what you are paying me now". Management shrugs. I tell management in no uncertain terms "i need to make more

If only things were so easy. Our department gets allocated $XX,XXX each year for raises. My boss has to split that among eight people. If I were to get a 5% bump like OP recommends, other people would get nothing. Sounds like typical D-grad

Go back and read SB other messages[1]. After the first message, it seemed like a PR stunt by a foreign intelligence agency, with this impossible auction designed to throw people off, but all of their messages since have been designed to exp

I've read forums about hardcore gamers who remove the bezels on certain monitors in order to group them together for seamless FPS displays. You can probably find it by searching.

From what I've read online, the only positive reviews are from the tech blog reviewers who got them for free. Us common folk on forums took one look at that price and that uninspired design and said forget it. I'd rather have a On

I believe the parent means installing Ubuntu Touch on your android phone. The best tool to do this with is MultiROM[1], an app in the play store that allows you to select the ROM you want at boot time. I tried this a couple years ago on a N

Checking the box to block 3rd party cookies is great advice, but I would not tell my Mom or any other casual user to do it. Why? You wind up with a lot of very weird, hard-to-track down bugs in web pages. I've seen failures in OAUTH an

If you have to wear a pair of noise blocking headphones all day at your workplace so you aren't distracted, maybe your workplace isn't ideal.

Agreed! Our space has 3ft high cube walls and you hear every single conversation everyone has. It's incredibly distracting and I can no longer just throw headphones on to mask it. Now I find too much music distracting too.

It would be counter-productive to escalate this issue in the cyberwarfare arena. We'd just do what we always do, punish them financially with sanctions and by continuing to push fracking so that the price of oil stays low.

Depends on what that source code does. What if it overloads electrical systems placed in orphanages in China where they grow hackers and burns down the building with the kids inside?

Understandable complaints, but isn't the latter just standard procedure in modern cyberwarfare? I think I would be more upset if America didn't have any offensive zero-day weapons to strike with. If we only had capability against
