I was thinking about monthly share of profits vs annual bonus vs non voting shares for a cut of the sale of the company. I'm not sure what the long term benefits are in the different cases.

I guess what I'm looking for is some advice on how to partner with them for money. I'm not sure what's standard and what's rude. Or how a % of the company would get paid out. These aren't questions I want to ask them.

Whatever he used his boss still wouldn't have understood it. The problem he's having is balancing programming time, with IT time. Something I do very poorly myself, but it's not hopeless. The funny thing is I've been interrupted 3 times whi

I don't care too much about outlook and I use it every day - I just rather plain text in email honestly, websites can stay html ;) but that twitter wall looks amazing! Looks like he may have coded it up himself - I know some activist groups

I'm not a git developer, but I remember from linus's google tech talk that it would be pretty trivial, and you can already use your favorite hashes. I don't know anything about repo compatibility. But this wont break git, your source files

Not to feed this rant too much, but I believe the cookie would be used for verifying a cross authentication attempt. Not exactly sure how it would be used but I'm pretty sure once you've got a session going on both servers the original toke

I'm a fan of his and I think a lot of what he writes about is pretty poor. I don't mind because he is a good writer and he doesn't pretend to be an expert about most of what he writes about. I do mind that he thinks it's not important a lot

Me neither and there are a few instances where I regret it, but mostly during the time I "should" have been in school I was learning how to run my own company, live and provide for myself, taxes, health care and everything else. I have coll

Bandwidth is not included in Mosso's Cloud. I think if you were to max out on bandwidth slicehost is still a better offer.

This reminds of of some of the graphs they have in wired. While I'd love to have a table to backup every visualization, I think if you're trying to communicate the data you need to have both. I wish I knew who designs the graphs for wired,

Well, it's not made by slicehost at all, just a customer who wanted it. They are very appreciative for it and even use it themselves (I'll imagine not for any internal infrastructure stuff.). On their podcast they thanked the guy profoundly

I thought you could write a javascript function to filter out datasets for each server, the client then queries multiple servers looking for what it wants?

I've got little love for Mosso and their offerings. Rackspace as a whole has never done me wrong but I have wasted many hours working with their techs dealing with some of their server problems on Mosso (this is for hosting not cloudfiles).
