You might be referring to tamarind based candy, particularly tamarind sold in clay containers. You can search for it as "tamarindo ollita". This is mostly still available as far as I know.

I think it's worth nothing that a full Promise handling pipe function can be written like so: const pipe = (...args) => args.reduce(async (acc, fn) => fn(await acc)); No actual third party libraries required
