But what you describe is a real conundrum for governments isn't it? If this hypothesis is true then you would think that the government in place would do everything they can to stop the far right/far left from rising from the ashe

That is a lie. If the system is so resilient then why did the governments had to intervene in 2008? The financial system is quick to ask for less regulation/less red tape but when comes the time to own their mistakes, they are really h

I am not from the US but it's the same thing everywhere. The only place where citizens seem to have an impact is Switzerland where with enough signatures you can request a referendum. Good luck implementing that in other countries. Som

It is not just governments, its people too. How many couples will have more than one child? How many people eat meat or fish every day? How many people drive their car to the corner store less than a mile away? How many people buy huge SUV

I used to fly quite a lot before and never really worried about it. Now that I have a wife and live in Australia, I routinely have to take 14h flights to get back to Europe. 14 hours is a long time without touching the ground. Lately, I hav

I am French so I can respond to your comment. In France, tipping is not mandatory and if I do it I usually leave 1 or 2 euros in change. Waiters in France do not have to pay for their own health insurance. They can actually afford to go to

If you read Noam Chomsky's "Who rules the world?", you will find plenty of examples of the USA overthrowing a government to bring "peace and prosperity". It's pretty common actually.

We are forced to use Skype for Business at my job, and let me tell you, I have never seen a POS like that. Calls drop out for no reason, UI is unintuitive with all kinds of weird dropdowns and buttons, slow to start and just a pain to use i

Australia just got PayId this year which means you can send any amount of money to anybody who signs up via their banks and receive money in seconds. Until last year you had to wait up to 3 days to do an interbank transfer but not anymore.

Correction, there are enough devs but the salaries are too low, so they go elsewhere like I did. I am not going to work 40+ hours a week or more to make 2500 euros and pay 1000 euros of rent in Paris. Whats the point? Also, Paris is a crime

The social ladder is also broken. If you don't have the right diploma, no matter what your skills are you will never make it to the top. There is a real mindset of "Us vs Them" where "Them" is your boss or manager a
