It's better to treat llms as more of a language encoders and decoders and have some for of intermediate representation where facts are verifiable. Or some form of a validation mechanism that isn't exactly checked against the gener

My biggest woah moment wrt transformers was when I saw a paper that took a pretrained Roberta model and made a slight modification to it's embedding layer to feed in image and audio data and it worked. Granted the performance was proba

The small downside to using kwargs is just the extra letters needed to call the function but I can live with that. As for args with the same type, you can use phantom types I guess but I haven't explored it much in python. I'm pre

In python I mostly code in functional style. Even then types helps me a lot. I make a lot of typos or get the order of arguments wrong. Typing helps me a lot here especially when I'm doing ML. The last thing I want is my training code

Thanks for this analysis. I feel like there is a big diconnect between what groups of people are assumed to be like vs what they actually do. Point 5 being the most apparent for me

So i have played around with this architecture specifically for entity linking. Two BERT encoders: one for the query text and another for the candidates. Initially the two encoders were separate but trained together. When I tried using the
