It seems to me that far too few "have the courage to use [their] own understanding," and that many would willingly abdicate intellectually to external authorities, provided the opportunity to do so without incurring social costs.

Take a look at Insulating Concrete Forms (ICFs). They can incorporate diverted waste styrofoam, bulk mycelium, or maybe even biocomposite lattices.

The tree view and data grid components don't seem to support lazy loading elements, which is particularly disappointing given how frequently I end up implementing that functionality in front of ElasticSearch and Solar. Apologies if I&#

What of the installed base of water heaters, stoves, and home furnaces? These can all be converted to e.g. induction ranges and heat pumps, but the time and expense of doing so needs to be factored in.

Looks interesting, and they have a fork of Alacritty in their repos. I was just wondering about embedding that in an Elixir/Rust desktop application myself.

I live in Boulder, so I see more junk pseudoscience than usual, and I think it's out of control. It's worth noting that noted nonsense profiteer Gaia TV is based here, and I've had conversations with employees who make no apo

I wonder how well stocked the U.S. is with replacement inventory for facilities like this.

I'm a FT subscriber, and I can also recommend the Neue Zürcher Zeitung ( https://nzz.ch/english ). They tend to have excellent data-driven reporting, and substantive articles.

They're also trivial to install without virtualization. Postgres has been one of the first things I install on a new laptop for over a decade now.

Thanks largely to k8s, running on multiple cloud providers and your own hardware is a lot more convenient than it was a few years ago. Component interfaces and protocols are a lot more consistent across platforms as well.

Nixpkg, w/ allowUnfree. If you try it I'd be interested in learning about your experience, as I'm looking into doing something similar early next year (distribution, not similar to the app itself).
