Yes, exactly that. I like having the option to save customers and cards, but I prefer not to be required to for circumstances that don't need it.

That was my understanding, yes. On Balanced you have to have a customer record with an associated card to do a debit.

I use Balanced for a non-marketplace ordering system as well as in an in-person ordering app. The Balanced dashboard is used for any account management and refunds. I found the process of actually taking and charging a card to be a bit cumb

I'm not the OP, but I opted for Balanced over Stripe due to the delay in getting paid. Aside from that I prefer Stripe's API and overall experience more.

I have no affiliation with Stripe aside from developing on their API. One of the explanations I've heard in regards to this is a scenario something like the following: 1. Merchant sets up Stripe account. 2. Merchant begins processing c

I still support iOS 5.1 for the same reason on my main app, but it's getting harder to do so. The status bar change with iOS 7 introduced a ton of conditional code for me because iOS 5 doesn't support autolayout and unfortunately

The sweet point for me has been iOS 6-7 support. There's little that iOS 7 has that I need to use, so a few conditionals here or there haven't been a huge deal (tintColor has been the only significant one). This contrasts immensel

Not all of them were bad. Health insurance varies wildly by state, which is another topic that's being ignored, and we had a reasonable catastrophic plan that covered all preventative care visits with just a small copay.

We're sort of in that boat. I've been grandfathered into my plan for some time now, but we switched over my wife from a $7500 deductible plan to a $3500 deductible plan in 2011 and that plan is going away. Only plans that were you

I've been fairly high up in the iPad photo category since August 2010 and I'd agree. It's much harder to gain traction now.

The keyboard is the same on the iPad 4, which at the time of the iOS 7 release was the newest model iPad. I get typos all of the time due to it missing key presses or hanging.

There's an OS X app I found not too long ago that helps immensely with checking the deployment target against the actual APIs used in order to make sure you correctly avoid unavailable stuff: http://www.deploymateapp.com

Prefixing the application's name has usually helped in my searches. For example, "round down in apple numbers". Smaller scale applications I've had more trouble with though: almost any search for help with Sketch returns

And more worthwhile. Having a registered copyright allows you to potentially collect punitive damages with a successful lawsuit rather than just the actual market value of the usage.

I suppose it depends on what you consider consistent (i.e., all nil operations should be no-ops or just message-sending operations), but that only covers 1 and 2. Trying to invoke a nil block still crashes.

I agree. Lack of insurance was not the problem. The problem is the totally astronomical markup on any and all medical procedures and products. Universal insurance just means that can continue on.

There are some annoying circumstances where you still have to check for nil, so it's not exactly consistent. For example: 1. Adding nil to an array triggers an exception. 2. Trying to set a dictionary key/value pair with nil for e

We're in Washington state, but it's the same story here. Our monthly premium is going up about 50% for a similar deductible but lesser coverage overall. Just wait until next year when larger employer plans are no longer exempted.

It's worth noting that the podspec says it needs iOS 7, so if you have anything still supporting older versions it's a no-go.

TSA searches only usually apply at the transition points from the outside into the terminals. Not all airports have the terminals all connected on the "secure" side though, so if changing airlines you may have to go through them.

It's not just purchasing a camera and pressing some buttons. It's having the knowledge of what equipment to purchase, how to compose the photo, how to capture a consistent set of photos, and so on. Experience takes time and money

The Dropbox SDK is MUCH better and more mature than the Box SDK. Dropbox bases its interactions on the paths of files/folders while Box bases it on the unique ID of the item. Converting a path to an ID in box is a very expensive operat
