The latest version of Sketch pretty reliably accepts clipboard input from Illustrator. It's not as nice as being able to import .ai files directly, but at least it's a hint of where they might be heading.

I use Sketch almost exclusively for iOS UI design now. It has its weak points (most specifically relating to undo), but I find it much easier to create pixel-aligned icons than anything else.

One benefit AirServer has over any of Apple's AirPlay implementations to date is that it supports 1080p rather than just 720p like the Apple TV when receiving data from an iPad or iPhone. I specifically have an Apple TV + AirServer hoo

That doesn't solve the noise problem though. Internal drives are significantly quieter than external enclosures.

If the rest of the project is non-ARC it's easier in my experience to write new additions that way as well. I've only been using ARC on newly-created projects because having to add -fobjc-arc or -fno-objc-arc to dozens of files in

As they made some note of, Core Animation is very picky about the image format you provide via the contents property. For example, if you retain a reference to a CGImageRef that you also assign to a CALayer's contents property, you wil

You can extend that to apps too. I can't count the number of items friends/family have had "great" ideas for apps that we could split the profit on.

How do you then value the land? Property taxes in many areas of the US are notorious for being arbitrarily determined based on the amount the tax jurisdiction needs rather than the true value of the property. In my area it's not uncomm

I feel largely the same. One idea I've always been a fan of is term limits for every elected office. Don't allow it to be a career option.

Reviews are very, very tricky in my experience. A few things I have noticed on my own app: 1. Any negative review hurts. It doesn't matter if it's a legitimate negative review, someone you're pretty sure isn't even refer

On a side note, does anyone who has updated know if this adds 1080p mirroring yet or is it still ridiculously restricted to 720p?

On the online store the gold ones are the only ones showing that they're now shipping in October rather than 7-10 days. I ordered my space gray one last night and got 1-3 days.

Even medium to large company dental plans tend to have around a $1500 coverage cap (at least in Washington state). I priced out a couple of these as an individual to see if it made sense for me, and it ended up being something like $600 per

Of course the one thing I most want restored is on the list that still isn't (pre-release docs). I'm trying to roll some iOS 7 fixes into an update and would love dearly to be able to see the docs on the status bar changes.

I managed to snag the iOS 7b3 SDK before it went down but not the documentation, unfortunately. Those downloads have been broken the whole time, so a download of Xcode is only as good as the documentation you still have.

No, they don't, and I'm among those who have received negative reviews from people running beta releases in the past. There's absolutely nothing you can do about it (flagging a review has never had any success for me).
